Here's a collection of some of my clients and some of the things I do as a full stack web engineer.
The tools I enjoy working with are Python, Django, Django REST Framework, Typescript, Angular, D3, React and Vue.
Besides doing consulting work and coding, I love teaching/mentoring and speaking at conferences/giving workshops. Check out my workshops!

"When we started planning to extend our event ticketing software with a seating plan feature, we knew that we could not do this on our own – the amount of work involved would have made it impossible to build this in-house in the time frame we imagined. We’ve been lucky to find a professional as skilled as Žan to implement the frontend component of this project. Žan took the time to fully understand our goals and constraints and then continously delivered excellent, thoughtfully structured results. Communicating and working with Žan has always been a pleasure and we’d be thrilled to hire him again in the future."
Raphael Michel, Founder
The end result of this project was a frontend component for selecting seats and creating seating plans for different venues.
K2M - BACS
"Žan is truly a collaborative member of the team. He often mentors other members of the team without being prompted. His range of expertise and willingness to share has made him a tremendous asset to the BACS engineering team."
Shawn Inman, BACS lead engineer
Working with K2M on BACS platform:
- Working with a remote team of about half a dozen developers
- Developing new features (both frontend and backend) in a clean and reusable way
- Refactoring legacy parts of the project
Built a web application from scratch in Angular 2+ and Django REST Framework as an internal tool for a Google team.
"Žan has been a great addition to the FlyOtto team, since he’s able to work with both Angular for our online aircraft charter booking application and the Django on the backend. We’ve been able to use him in multiple roles on different projects. He’s flexible and delivers great results."
Adam, co-founder/CTO FlyOtto
Software and UX developer at Datafy.it.
I worked on Datafy.it search engine for business contacts. The work involved building a big Django application, working with a team of 3 other developers and developing the UX of the product (doing interviews, need-finding, prototyping, etc).
WebCamp Ljubljana 2017
I was part of the 2017's WebCamp Ljubljana organising team. I was on the talk committee, responsible for writing a Call for Proposals, selecting talks and helping speakers be awesome. I am especially proud of the record number of submitted proposals and the fact that women comprised 35% of the final speaker lineup.
Letters To My 25-Year-Old Self
A collection of letters filled with the dreams, fears, and revelations of incredible people around the world. If you could tell your 25-year-old self anything at all, what would you say?
Louis Armstrong Discography
A visualization of all sessions that comprise Louis Armstrong’s discography. He is my all-time hero, and I wanted to explore his discography in a way that hasn't been done before.
Musings on Music
I am a huge music fan, and I also enjoy writing about it. This is my blog on music that I'm sometimes proud of and sometimes I'd rather hide it.
